Six things that set Eldernest apart

Each point reflects a deliberate choice we made when designing our sessions and work style.

No sales in the room

Eldernest does not sell financial products, insurance, or advisory subscriptions. You will not be approached by a third party after attending a session.

Language that anyone can follow

Session materials are written and spoken in plain English. Where Thai terms are useful we include them, and large-print versions are available on request.

Rooted in Chiang Mai

Our examples, references, and contact networks reflect the real context of living in northern Thailand — not a generic framework lifted from another country.

Small, comfortable groups

Seminars and circles are capped at twelve people. That keeps the room from feeling like a lecture and gives everyone a reasonable chance to speak.

Tangible, take-home materials

Every session includes printed reference tables and checklists designed to be useful at home, not just during the session itself.

Reviewed and updated annually

Session content is checked each year against current Thai administrative procedures and community resources, so the information you receive is not out of date.

A closer look at each benefit

Experienced facilitation

Our facilitators come from adult education and community-organising backgrounds. They know how to pace a group, how to encourage quieter participants, and when to let a conversation run rather than cutting it off. That is a specific skill, and it makes a meaningful difference to what people get from a session.

  • Average of 12 years' facilitation experience per team member
  • Regular peer-review of session delivery
  • Participants receive a printed summary to keep

Structured, table-led presentation

We present information in clear rows and columns wherever possible. A table that shows task, timing, and responsible party is easier to act on than three paragraphs of prose. Participants regularly tell us that the handouts are the most useful part of the session — the thing they refer back to months later.

  • Table format used for checklists, timelines, and comparisons
  • All handouts available in large print
  • Digital versions sent by email after the session

Genuine peer connection

The community support circles are not a passive listen. Participants contribute their own experiences and hear from others who are navigating similar ground. The facilitator keeps the room respectful but does not dominate the conversation. People often continue contact with circle members after sessions end.

  • Six to ten people per circle
  • Facilitated but participant-led dialogue
  • Optional ongoing contact through the Eldernest community list

Transparent pricing in Thai Baht

Our session prices are listed openly: ฿4,800 for a readiness seminar, ฿17,000 for a filing-system setup, and ฿32,500 for the ongoing support circle programme. There are no hidden add-ons, no membership fees, and no follow-up upsells. You pay for the session and that is it.

  • All prices quoted inclusive of materials
  • Payment by bank transfer or cash in person
  • Receipt provided for every transaction

Outcomes that participants notice

After a filing-system session, people know where their important documents are. After a seminar, they have a clearer picture of how their days might look. After a support circle, they have spoken with others going through the same thing. These are small but real improvements in everyday confidence and preparedness.

  • Post-session feedback collected and reviewed
  • High rate of participants returning for additional sessions
  • Many attendees recommend Eldernest to friends and family

What makes Eldernest different

A few things we offer that are not easy to find elsewhere in the region.

Home visit for filing setup

The personal filing-system session takes place in your own home, working with your actual documents. There is no need to bring anything to an office or hand documents to a stranger.

Information-only charter

Eldernest operates strictly as an information and organisational resource. We do not hold a licence for financial, legal, or health advice, and we do not work with providers who wish to access our participants.

Year-round scheduling

Sessions run throughout the year, including during the cooler months when Chiang Mai is busiest. We schedule around Thai public holidays and keep dates posted well in advance.

Drop-in introductory mornings

Occasional open mornings give prospective participants a chance to see how a session runs before committing to a full booking. No advance preparation required.
